I was born in Haslett, Michigan and come from a long line of Michigan State University (MSU) Spartans. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona, I graduated high school in 2000 then went on to earn my BS Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2003. After earning my undergraduate degree I spent several years traveling the country living in Florida, Oklahoma and Texas before returning to Arizona in 2016. I completed my Masters of Educational Technology (MAET) degree from MSU in May 2021! My education has come full circle! I'm so proud to be a Spartan!
I also have two wonderful children who keep me busy and very happy! We enjoy watching Netflix, playing volleyball, attending my children's activities and traveling!

Teaching History
My teaching career has spanned 16 years over four states and hundreds of amazing students! I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to teach both in a brick and mortar setting as well as in online schools.
I started my teaching career in Florida at Mulrennan Middle School. After taking a few years off to be a mom, I taught a summer program at Western Oklahoma State College. Then during my time in Texas, I worked at Randolph Field Independent School District and then at Texas Virtual Academy. After moving back to Arizona, I was able to transfer to Arizona Virtual Academy and now I am at the Mesa Virtual Campus in the Mesa Public School District.
I look forward to enriching my students' knowledge and confidence for years to come!
